The Nursing Excellence Award was created to recognize Registered Nurses for their achievements in the practice of nursing at Saint Mary’s Health Care. Each year Saint Mary’s presents five outstanding nurses with our Nursing Excellence Award, which consists of a $2,000 scholarship to attend a nursing conference of their choice. The scholarships are awarded to Registered Nurses nominated by their peers or physician colleagues. They must exemplify Excellence in Action with behaviors associated with the five pillars of our Nursing Vision: spirituality, advocacy, knowledge, compassionate care and collaboration. Nursing Excellence recognition is just another example of how Saint Mary’s promotes excellence in the care experience for our patients and our staff.
