Clinical Resource Staff

Clinical Resource Program (CRP). Saint Mary’s Health Care is committed to maintaining a high level of excellence in clinical care. To that end, we have designed a Clinical Resource Program that provides flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of our dynamic workforce, as well as those of our patients. RNs will find a multitude of opportunities in our focused Unit Based service and our broad-based Clinical Staffing Center. Those who take part in either facet of Saint Mary’s CRP will find that their expertise is valued, they are truly a part of a team-centered environment and are supported by their interdisciplinary team colleagues. For us, maintaining a safe and open work environment is as crucial as recognizing the expertise of each member of our staff, including those with limited availability.

Our CRP Key Objectives:
  • Recognizing unique competencies and skills
  • Valuing flexibility with a focus
  • Assuring experienced staff across all shifts and units
  • Acknowledging the value of RN staff who have limited shift availability, yet have the desire and ability to support a focused unit or specialty need
  • Enhancing the program to offer rewards through compensation for RNs with demonstrated skills, competencies and willingness to cross multiple units

Unit Based RNs. The skills of our Unit Based RNs are concentrated on a single unit, which may include any of our acute care areas. Base requirements for these positions include a minimum of three years current acute care experience with demonstrated minimum competencies for the desired clinical unit. Shift premium, weekend and holiday hours are determined by one of three levels of monthly commitment that best fits the RN work availability.

Clinical Staffing Center RNs. Clinical Staffing Center RNs are identified by specialty group—adult medical surgical, intermediate/critical care, maternal child services and surgical services.  RNs wishing to apply for these positions must have a minimum of three years current acute care experience in the specialty area and demonstrate competence across all identified units within the specialty. Shift premium, weekend and holiday hours are determined by one of two levels of monthly commitment that best fits the RN work availability. Schedules and shifts are identified monthly, however, the unit is identified on a daily basis based on patient care needs at the time.
