For RNs who are concerned that they have spent too much time out of practice to re-enter the workforce, Saint Mary’s Health Care—in partnership with Michigan State University—offers an RN Refresher Program created to help ease their concerns.

This program is intended for professional RNs who are:

• Typically, out of practice 5-10 years from an acute inpatient setting
• Whose clinical placement will be in a general medical-surgical unit
• Willing to complete a 15 week on-line course and 120 hours practicum within 20 weeks
• Willing to make an employment commitment to Saint Mary’s for a total of 2 (full time) to 3 (part time) years after program completion

Eligibility may vary, but includes:

• An unrestricted Michigan nursing license
• Proof of graduation from an accredited RN program
• Meeting other job-related and/or program requirements
